Bookkeeper, Full-Time

You’ll be managing the day to day bookkeeping and accounting activities, production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities:

  • Issue timely and complete financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the annual report.
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
  • Manage accuracy and correctness of day to day transactions.
  • Coordinate the provision of information to outside tax preparers.
  • Participate in the production of the annual budget and forecasts.
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Full ownership of payroll for employees in Maryland and North Carolina.
  • Experience in divisional accounting/class tracking in Quickbooks also a plus.
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
  • Provide for a system of management for all company records (both digital and paper files).
  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
  • Responsible for all the operations of the accounting department, including General Ledger, Cash Management, Accounts Payable, AccountsReceivable, and Billing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 Years experience in Bookkeeping
  • 1 Year experience with Concur (preferred)

Compensation:

  • $45,000 – $50,000 annually
